GBGA -- This Week's Winner

This week's winner of the Great Book Give-Away is Lidia!

Congratulations, Lidia! And thanks to all the rest of you who commented this week!

Lidia gets the five books promised, but if Dina, Ellen, KimW, Mads, Mags, and Christa will also go to my website, hit the "contact Anne" tab and send me a mailing address, I'll send along a book for each of you as well. Some of you have won earlier, but all of you have been faithful in the extreme. Thank you for that.

So, send me your address and I'll send you a book from the GBGA bag.

Today I went to my genealogical conference which was excellent. Colleen Fitzpatrick spoke on "forensic genealogy." It's fascinating and she has a really interesting website if you're interesting in taking investigative skills and such to the genealogical and local history front.

I'm blown away by some of the information she can get out of a photograph or a database.

In life on the writing front, tomorrow the MIA Chapter Eight frog will be making his appearance at last.

I know now why he's been missing so long. I don't want to spook him, though, so I'm not commenting until he's here and things are under control.

Gunnar says thanks for the treats to everyone who entered. He hopes we'll do it again -- soon.

And I hope you'll keep coming back and commenting anyway because it's not as much fun talking to myself.

They're predicting a 50% chance of snow tonight. Good grief!

Wherever the MIA chapter eight frog has been, I think we can tell from the grin that he's had fun!!! I hope he now behaves himself and Seb & Neely are soon sorted and winging their way to your editor.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed the snow stays away. Have a great trip.

If you are back from visiting your gorgeous grandchild in time, I'm blogging on Love Is The Best Medicine, the joint Med authors blog this week - or, rather, my Seb is! - so you would be most welcome to pop in and say hello.

Love,
Mags xx

Mags, The M-I-A Frog is very happy in one respect and not happy at all in another. But, hey, that's life. And by the end of chapter ten all will be forgotten in the throes of Happy Ending. Love the frog, by the way. I keep thinking of excuses to use him in posts!

Dina, you're very welcome and I have your address, so a book will arrive later this week, I hope.

Christa, I looked at the snow pic and was appalled. Yikes. But Edmonton -- yeah, I understand why they have snow up there. Well, sort of. But really, enough is enough. So far no snow here. We'd have to have a cloud in the sky first!

We had a forecast to get snow flurries today, but it turned out to be quite nice.

Anne, I'll watch for it. Seriously though, I am not too trusting lately to the USPS, someone said they mailed a poster on the 15th & I still don't have it and it seems to take longer for me to get my packages, not good.

Thanks Anne for the book....you're wonderful. Today we didn't have snow just 2" of rain in a short period of time. Rather have the snow but not a chance when the temperature is in the 80s.

You're very welcome, Kim and Ellen. I hope to get to the post office and send books tomorrow.

Ellen, 2" of rain in a short time is ghastly. We had a lot last week and I thought the dogs would need water wings just to get out the back door. Of course now we have a sea of mud. Lucky us! And they're still talking about SNOW!

Anne, Thanks for the books! How awesome. Thanks to everyone for their congrats.

I have an oldie of Anne's in my keeper box -- can't tell you the number of times that I've re-read -- Anne is probably sick of hearing me mention it but it is "Island Interlude." If you ever come across it in used bookstore -- pick it up -- you won't be sorry!
