Sailing Away redux

Remember these?

I posted them when Demetrios and Anny finally left the building.

Of course they sailed back for revisions, but by then I had those summer-camping grandkids here.

And then we went out west to see Sol and Hank and Ellie and the revisions were becalmed, just waiting.

Finally, when I got home, I got back to them. And basically, while the ed didn't ask for much, what she asked for (wisely) made me rewrite the last eight chapters of the book -- and add an extra chapter for good measure.

So if I've been quiet here, it's because I've virtually rewritten 160 odd pages in the past three weeks.

But it's done. And gone. And now I'm thinking of things I should add.

Somebody stop me!!!

Ahh but see us readers don't know any better. We're blissfully unaware of what else could have been popped in there, we think it's perfect just the way it is ;)

Lacey and Rachael,
Thanks! It's good to be back -- I missed reading everyone else's blog and writing my own. In fact I am still tinkering with the last chapter though it sent it in yesterday! Can't leave well enough alone.

Hope you've all been keeping well. I'll be off to read your blogs soon.

I have to wonder if getting all your sailboats to sail straight entails the same problems as getting all your ducks in a row.

Hooray on getting them done. And fingers crossed.

Good grief...

Congratulations on getting the boats in a row. They look fabulous and I can't wait for the book.

Michelle, It is indeed a very similar matter to getting all the ducks in a row. But sailboats are bigger and there are more of them. Thanks for the good wishes. Hope you are feeling better.

Liz, thank you. They do look nice, don't they? My own little regatta. I can't wait for the book, too. But I've got another couple due before it sees the light of day.
